A new client Middletown, NJ called our office after her husband found a large amount of black mold in one of the walk-in closets in the basement. Once we arrived and took a closer look, we realized that the area was severely water damaged. Unknown to the homeowner, a pipe had bursted behind the wall! This is what caused the mold growth.
Unfortunately, most of the materials and wood were compromised and had to be removed, so we did just that. After removing all the contaminated materials, we treated the area with our EPA registered antimicrobial called MAPS 1. This solution targets mold at its DNA and immediately kills it. Afterward, we applied our mold stain remover, scrubbed away all the mold stains, and applied MAPS 2. MAPS 2 is our patented sealant that encapsulates the surface mold is growing on and renders it harmless and non-allergic and will reactivate whenever it gets wet to prevent any future mold growth.
Lastly, since the humidity levels in the basement were high, we installed a commercial-grade dehumidifier. This dehumidifier can effectively cover indoor living spaces over 3000 square feet, making it well-suited for basements and crawl spaces over 40" high!
A new customer was looking forward to the sale of his old property in Middletown, NJ, this holiday season. There was just one thing that put the sale to a halt - mold that grew all over the ceiling of the family room! Before the sale could be completed, he needed to remove the mold, so he called Mold Solutions by Cowleys for help.
As we inspected the living room, and the rest of the home, we determined that the conducive condition that caused the mold to grow was extremely high humidity levels. Since the property had been vacant for years, no one was around to air out the home. First, we treated the entire home from top to bottom with our EPA registered antimicrobial called MAPS 1. This solution attacks mold at its DNA and immediately kills it.
Next, we applied our mold stain remover and scrubbed away all the mold stains. After that, we applied MAPS 2. MAPS 2 is our patented sealant that encapsulates the surface mold is growing on and renders it harmless, inert, and non-allergic. MAPS 2 is also moisture sensitive and will reactivate whenever it gets wet to prevent any future mold growth. Finally, to control the humidity levels in the family room, we installed a commercial grade Sedona dehumidifier. This dehumidifier cost less to run than other dehumidifiers, cover over 3000 square feet, are energy efficient, and will properly control the humidity levels in the family room.
This elderly homeowner in Brielle, NJ, called our office after his son-in-law noticed a large amount mold growth all over the beams in his attic. Mold often spreads in attics because this area often contains many of the key elements necessary for mold growth – water or moisture (especially with a roof leak), wood and other organic building materials on which to feed, and the right temperatures where mold will grow and thrive. Additionally, attics are often a non-living area of the home where people do not spend a great deal of time, so mold can spread over large areas before it is discovered.
Turns out that the attic fans were broken and the improper ventilation caused the mold to grow and flourish. First, we treated the attic with our EPA registered antimicrobial called MAPS 1. This solution targets mold at its DNA and immediately kills it. Afterward, we applied our mold stain remover and scrubbed away all the mold stains.
Lastly, we applied MAPS 2, which is our patented sealant that encapsulates the surface mold is growing on and renders it harmless and non-allergic. MAPS 2 is also sensitive to moisture and will reactivate whenever it gets wet to prevent any future mold growth. Once we were finished, the homeowner's son-in-law is going to replace the broken attic fans with new ones.
We were sent out on a service call to a business in Mantoloking, NJ to eliminate mold that had been growing in the storage room (which doubled has the boiler room). Due to the excessive amount of rain that had occurred, an abundance of water accumulated around the property. Concrete is porous, so it can hold water and provide a water source for mold to colonize, which is exactly what happened here.
After equipping our personal protective equipment, we removed all the items and covered all the shelves properly. Once that was completed, we treated the entire storage room with our EPA registered antimicrobial called Mold Abatement Polymer Solutions (MAPS 1 for short). This application attacks mold at its DNA and immediately kills it. Afterward, we applied our mold stain remover and scrubbed away all the mold stains. Next, we applied MAPS 2, which is our patented sealant that encapsulates the surface mold is growing on and renders it harmless and non-allergic. MAPS 2 is also moisture sensitive and will reactivate whenever it gets wet to prevent any future mold growth.
Lastly, to handle the high humidity levels in the storage room, we installed a commercial grade Sani-Dry Sedona dehumidifier. These dehumidifiers cost less to run than other dehumidifiers, covers over 3000 square feet, are energy efficient, and will properly control the humidity levels!
During a severe thunderstorm, this property in Deal, NJ, got flooded. Due to this, mold grew all over the walls in the living room, the bathroom, and even all over the tile in the shower! It was so bad that full tear out and mold remediation was needed. The owner agreed and we went right to work.
The first thing we did, was remove all of the contaminated wood, insulation, tile, and sheetrock and then dispose of the properly. Afterward, we treated every square inch of the affected areas with our EPA registered antimicrobial called MAPS 1. MAPS stands for Mold Abatement Polymer Solutions, and this solution attacks mold on a cellular level and kills it immediately. Next, we applied our mold stain remover and scrubbed away all the mold stains.
Once that was finished, we applied our patented sealant called MAPS 2. MAPS 2 encapsulates the surface that mold is growing on and renders it harmless, non-allergenic, and inert. One of the best features of MAPS 2 is that it'll reactivate whenever it gets wet to prevent any future mold growth. Lastly, we replaced all the compromised wooden beams with new, sturdy ones.
