A new customer was looking forward to the sale of his old property in Middletown, NJ, this holiday season. There was just one thing that put the sale to a halt - mold that grew all over the ceiling of the family room! Before the sale could be completed, he needed to remove the mold, so he called Mold Solutions by Cowleys for help.

As we inspected the living room, and the rest of the home, we determined that the conducive condition that caused the mold to grow was extremely high humidity levels. Since the property had been vacant for years, no one was around to air out the home. First, we treated the entire home from top to bottom with our EPA registered antimicrobial called MAPS 1. This solution attacks mold at its DNA and immediately kills it.

Next, we applied our mold stain remover and scrubbed away all the mold stains. After that, we applied MAPS 2. MAPS 2 is our patented sealant that encapsulates the surface mold is growing on and renders it harmless, inert, and non-allergic. This elderly homeowner in Brielle, NJ, called our office after his son-in-law noticed a large amount mold growth all over the beams in his attic. Mold often spreads in attics because this area often contains many of the key elements necessary for mold growth – water or moisture (especially with a roof leak), wood and other organic building materials on which to feed, and the right temperatures where mold will grow and thrive.
