Shortly after finding a leak in his roof, this homeowner in Crabnury, NJ, also discovered a massive amount of mold growing on all the rafters.  Attics provide an ideal environment for mold since they contain plenty of food sources such as wood and insulation. Leaky roofs, condensation from fluctuating temperatures, leaky pipes, and/or poor ventilation can provide mold with the moisture it needs to grow. Fortunately, the roof was repaired, but mold still developed because it went unnoticed for a long period of time.

First, we treated the area with our EPA registered antimicrobial called MAPS 1. MAPS 1 attacks mold at its DNA and immediately kills it. Afterward, we used our mold stain remover and scrubbed away all the excess mold staining throughout the attic. Lastly, we treated every square inch of the attic with our patented sealant called MAPS 2. This application encapsulates the surface mold is growing on and renders it harmless, inert, and non-allergenic. MAPS 2 is also moisture-sensitive and will reactivate whenever it gets wet to prevent future mold growth!
