Mold Growing Everywhere
We found an abundance of mold growing all over the wooden beams, rafters, & walls of the crawl space.
A Moisture Issue
What contributed to the mold growth? Incredible high humidity levels as well as several moisture issues (leaky pipes).
Needs Encapsulation
The owner had requested that we install a sturdy vapor barrier in his crawl space as well as a dehumidifier, which we will do after tackling the mold. First, we removed every single contaminated insulation and item in the crawl space and disposed of them. Once that was finished, we applied MAPS 1, which is an EPA registered antimicrobial. This will attack mold on a cellular level and kill it immediately.
Last Few Steps
After that, we applied our mold stain remover and scrubbed away all of the mold stains. Lastly, we applied our patented sealant called MAPS 2. This application encapsulates the surface mold is growing on and renders it harmless and non-allergenic. It's also moisture sensitive and will reactivate whenever it gets wet to prevent any future mold growth.
