Mold Spotted
We began inspecting and only found small areas of mold on the wooden furniture throughout the basement. We inspected an area behind a picture frame and found mold growth on the frame. Even a small amount of mold is hazardous to your health and needs to be removed ASAP.
Eliminate the Mold
Completing our inspection, we determined that the cause of the mold was due to high humidity levels. We applied an antimicrobial solution called MAPS 1 that targets mold on a cellular level and kills it instantly.
The Next Application Applied
We then wiped away the mold and applied a patented sealant called MAPS 2. This encapsulates the mold, which renders it non-allergenic and harmless, and will also reactivate once it gets wet to prevent future mold growth.
Mold Is Gone
As you can see, the mold is gone and the frame is good as new.
One Last Step
To address the humidity issue, we installed a Sedona dehumidifier. This will keep humidity levels in the basement at a comfortable and safe level as well as help prevent mold and reduce musty odors.
