Finding and Treating Hidden Mold

Homes and buildings do not always have visible mold growth. There is a high probability of hidden mold inside a home if:

• There are occupants of the home experiencing chronic health-related issues and whose allergy-like symptoms appear to be mold-related.
• There was a water intrusion event involving floodwater, rainwater, or groundwater entering the home or there was a burst or leaky pipe.
• There is an unacceptably high sustained relative humidity (RH) level in the home, most commonly in the basement, crawl space, or attic.
