Finished Basement Floods & Mold Begins to Grow in Jackson, NJ

Challenge

This customer in Jackson, NJ had a massive flood in his finished basement from a rain storm. Although he was able to dry out his basement, black mold started to grow. After researching local mold removal companies, he came across Mold Solutions by Cowleys, called our office, and we were sent out. 

Unfortunately, after inspecting the basement from top to bottom, the mold growth was so bad that a majority of the sheetrock had lost its structural integrity and needed to be removed.

Solution

With the owner's permission, we removed all of the contaminated materials and disposed of them properly. Once we were finished, we treated the entire basement with our EPA registered antimicrobial called MAPS 1. This application targets mold on a cellular level and kills it immediately. Next, we applied our mold stain remover and scrubbed away all the mold stains. Finally, we applied our patented sealant called MAPS 2, which encapsulates the surface mold is growing on and renders it harmless, non-allergenic, and inert. The bonus of MAPS 2 is that it's moisture sensitive and will reactivate whenever it gets wet to prevent any future mold growth.
