New Homeowners Find Massive Mold Growth in the Basement in Mantoloking, NJ

A new homeowner was excited to purchase a new property in Mantoloking, NJ and had plans to completely renovate it! What was stopping him? A MASSIVE amount of mold growth throughout the basement! Apparently, a pipe had bursted in the basement and flooded the area. Although the previous owner did fix the busted pipe, the moisture (combined with the high humidity level) created the perfect breeding conditions for the mold to flourish. Since the previous owner was planning on selling the property, he never bothered to take care of the mold growth.

The first thing we did was, with the owner's permission, remove every single contaminated insulation and item in the basement and dispose of them. Once that was finished, we applied MAPS 1, which is an EPA registered antimicrobial.
