Faulty Vent Causes Mold in Bathroom in Freehold, NJ

Recently, we were sent out to a home in Freehold, NJ to treat for extensive mold growth in the upstairs bathroom. One of the most important steps of our mold inspections is to determine the conducive condition that caused the mold to grow in the first place. In this situation, the bathroom vent wasn't working. This caused the moisture and humidity levels to rise, which is a recipe for mold! We informed the owner and he mentioned that he is going to replace the bathroom vent once we eliminate the mold.

First, we treated the bathroom from top to bottom with our EPA registered antimicrobial called Mold Abatement Polymer Solutions 1. Also called MAPS 1 for short, this application attacks mold at its DNA and immediately kills it. Once that was completed, we grabbed our mold stain remover and then scrubbed away any and all of the mold stains throughout the area.

Lastly, we treated the entire bathroom with our patented sealant called MAPS 2. This solution encapsulates the surface mold is growing on and renders it harmless, inert, and non-allergenic. As an added bonus, MAPS 2 is also moisture sensitive and will reactivate whenever it gets wet to prevent any future mold growth.
