Black Mold Found in the Closet in Middletown, NJ

A new client Middletown, NJ called our office after her husband found a large amount of black mold in one of the walk-in closets in the basement. Once we arrived and took a closer look, we realized that the area was severely water damaged. Unknown to the homeowner, a pipe had bursted behind the wall! This is what caused the mold growth.

Unfortunately, most of the materials and wood were compromised and had to be removed, so we did just that. After removing all the contaminated materials, we treated the area with our EPA registered antimicrobial called MAPS 1. This solution targets mold at its DNA and immediately kills it. Afterward, we applied our mold stain remover, scrubbed away all the mold stains, and applied MAPS 2. MAPS 2 is our patented sealant that encapsulates the surface mold is growing on and renders it harmless and non-allergic and will reactivate whenever it gets wet to prevent any future mold growth.

Lastly, since the humidity levels in the basement were high, we installed a commercial-grade dehumidifier. This dehumidifier can effectively cover indoor living spaces over 3000 square feet, making it well-suited for basements and crawl spaces over 40" high!
