Toilet Leaked & Caused Mold
A toilet in the basement bathroom had leaked one day while the homeowner was out. Although the toilet was repaired, the leak had gone unnoticed for quite some time. That, combined with the high humidity levels, led to a massive mold growth throughout the entire basement.
Black Mold
Mold was growing all over the doors, the walls, the cabinets, and even some of the wooden chairs!
Some Had to be Removed
Some of the materials had lost their structural integrity and had to be removed (with the owner's permission). Once that was finished, we treated the entire basement with our EPA registered antimicrobial called Mold Abatement Polymer Solutions. Called MAPS for short, this application attacks mold at its DNA and immediately kills after. Afterward, we grabbed our mold stain remover and then scrubbed away all of the mold stains throughout the basement.
Now for MAPS 2
After all that was completed, we treated the entire basement with our patented sealant called MAPS 2. This encapsulates the surface mold is growing on and renders it harmless, inert, and non-allergenic. One of the best features of MAPS 2 is that it's moisture sensitive and will reactivate whenever it gets wet to prevent any future mold growth.
