Mold in the Insulation
While the contracting team was removing a portion of the wall, they discovered mold all over the insulation.
More Mold Growth
We inspected and discovered more mold all throughout building behind the walls.
Tear Out is Needed
Usually, we're able to treat the mold in its place and avoid unnecessary tear outs, however, when the area is saturated and severely damaged, like in this case, we had to tear out the moldy sheetrock.
Remove and Then Treat
After we removed all the contaminated sheetrock, we treated the affected areas with our EPA registered antimicrobial called MAPS 1. This application attacks mold at its DNA and kills it instantly. Afterward, we applied MAPS 2.
Mold Doesn't Stand a Chance
MAPS 2 is a moisture sensitive, patented sealant that encapsulates the surface mold is growing on and renders the mold non-allergenic and harmless. Also, MAPS 2 reactivates whenever it gets wet to prevent the return of mold. Now that MAPS 1 & 2 has been applied, mold is no longer a threat and the contracting team can resume their renovations.
