What You Should Know Before you Hire Someone to Address Your Mold Issues

You discover mold growing in your home and your mind races.  Will my family members become sick? Will
the mold spread throughout our house?  Will we have to undergo major demolition and construction? Will we have to move out of our home? Mold affects everyone differently but the bottom line is once it is discovered you must address the issue. 

Discovering that mold is present in your home means that conditions are conducive to its growth.  You must treat the present mold and change the conditions in your home to stop current mold growth and prevent new mold growths from forming. Addressing the problem may not be as overwhelming as you think. Innovations in mold treatment options have made addressing your mold problems easier than ever. 

To effectively treat mold ensure whomever you hire:
1. Full inspects the problem and understands why the mold growth happened in the first place.  In other words, is there an existing water intrusion problem in the home?  Is there a humidity problem? 

2. Remove and/or treat the current mold.

3. Prevent new mold growth from forming in the area.
