Several Leaky Pipes Leads to a Big Mold Problem in Trenton, NJ
Challenge
During a winter inspection for a Home Protection Plan customer in Trenton, NJ one of our pest control technicians found a large abundance of mold growing throughout the crawl space. They informed the owner who remembered that he had a few leaky pipes in his crawl space, but never got around to fixing it. After seeing the massive mold growth, he immediately called a plumber! Once the plumber repaired all the leaky pipes the owner called Mold Solutions and we were sent out.
Solution
After removing and disposing of every single contaminated item in the crawl space, we applied MAPS 1. MAPS 1 (which stands for Mold Abatement Polymer Solutions) is an EPA registered antimicrobial that's going to attack mold on a cellular level and kill it immediately. Next, we applied our mold stain remover and scrubbed away all of the mold stains. After that we applied our patented sealant called MAPS 2. This application encapsulates the surface mold is growing on and renders it harmless and non-allergenic. It's also moisture sensitive and will reactivate whenever it gets wet to prevent any future mold growth.
