Joists in the Crawl Space Has Mold On It in Far Hills, NJ

Challenge

One of the technicians from our Pest Control Division spotted mold in this customer's crawl space, so we were sent out to inspect and confirm. Before we began inspecting the area, we immediately knew that there was a LOT of humidity in the crawl space. Sure enough, our hygrometer confirmed it! This was why there was so much mold growth on the joists!

Solution

The first thing we did was treat the entire crawl with our EPA registered antimicrobial MAPS 1. MAPS, which stands for Mold Abatement Polymer Solutions, will target mold at its DNA and kill it immediately. Once we were done, we then applied our mold stain remover and scrubbed any and all mold stains. Next, we applied our patented sealant called MAPS 2.

This application encapsulates the surface mold is growing on and renders it harmless and non-allergenic. It's also moisture sensitive and will reactivate whenever it gets wet to prevent any future mold growth. Lastly, we installed a commercial grade Sedona dehumidifier to control the high humidity levels in the basement.
