Mold Almost Ruins Real Estate Sale in Kendall Park, NJ
Challenge
This resident in Kendall Park, NJ was selling his home, and during the home inspection process, the inspector discovered mold in his basement. The buyers wanted to back out of the sale, but the homeowner reassured them that he will take care of it immediately and at his own expense. This is where Mold Solutions by Cowleys comes into play.
In order to find out how deep the mold growth is, we had to remove a section of the wall. Turns out a pipe had a small leak in it, which was causing the mold to grow. We also found mold growing on the other side of the wall as well. The owner immediately called his plumber to fix the leak and we went right to work.
Solution
After removing all the contaminated materials, we treated the area with an antimicrobial solution called MAPS 1. This product attacks mold at its DNA and kills it immediately. We then scrubbed away all the mold stains with our mold stain remover and applied our patented sealant called MAPS 2. MAPS 2 encapsulates the surface mold is growing on and renders it non-allergenic and harmless. One of the best features of MAPS 2 is that it's moisture sensitive and will reactive whenever it gets wet to prevent future mold growth.
