Mold Grows All Over Homeowners Basement in Point Pleasant Beach, NJ
Challenge
A new customer in Point Pleasant Beach, NJ called our office after one of our pest control technicians found an abundance of mold growth throughout her basement. We equipped our personal protective equipment and began inspecting the area to find the conducive condition that caused the mold growth.
Using our hygrometer, we were able to determine that cause for the mold growth was extremely high humidity levels in the basement.
Solution
First, we treated the area with our EPA registered antimicrobial called MAPS 1. This solution targets mold at its DNA and immediately kills it. Afterward, we applied our mold stain remover, scrubbed away all the mold stains, and applied MAPS 2. MAPS 2 is our patented sealant that encapsulates the surface mold is growing on and renders it harmless and non-allergic. MAPS 2 is also moisture sensitive and will reactivate whenever it gets wet to prevent any future mold growth.
In order to control the high humidity levels, we installed a commercial-grade dehumidifier. This dehumidifier costs less to run than other dehumidifiers, covers over 3000 square feet, and is energy efficient.
